Brief Profile
Dr Rufus Vasanth Raj is a Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 15 years of experience in the medical field. He started his medical career at the prestigious Madras Medical College and then obtained training in Orthopaedics from various premium institutions all over the world. His major part of training in trauma comes from Sundaram Medical Foundation. He did his Joint Replacement (Arthroplasty) fellowship from Ganga Hospital, which is recognised by MGR University, followed by an Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine Fellowship form Ortho One Hospital, which is recognised by ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) approved centre. He has been trained in several International Institutions to become a master in his specialities. He underwent Complex Trauma training from Shanghai, China. He learnt Hip Arthroscopy, Arthroplasty and Cartilage Restoration techniques from Spain and currently one of the few Hip Arthroscopy Specialists available in India. His chief experience in Shoulder Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty comes form Australia and Singapore. He had special training in Nanoscopy (Needle Arthroscopy) from Germany and used this technique for betterment of many sports players and was even published in all reputed newspapers like The Hindu, etc.

He was awarded the Global Icon Awards 2022 as the “BEST ARTHROSCOPY & SPORTS MEDICNE DOCTOR” by WASME (World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises) and was published in Economic Times. He was awarded – “NATIONAL ACHIEVERS AWARD FOR HEALTH EXCELLENCE 2022” by the National Achievers Recognition Forum (NARF) at New Delhi.
